Come back here regularly for news of the latest mini grants awarded by the BNI-Misner Foundation.

In January 2009 the Brockman Institute (http://www.brockmaninstitute.com) received a Givers Grant for $1000 for their Advancement Institute Summer Venture Program in business education for youth in Southern California.

 

The Holy Child Academy in Drexel Hill, PA recently received a Givers Gain® Grant for $943.50 so that teacher Lettie Switzer may purchase Orff musical instruments for their 215 kindergarten through 8th grade students. The Orff-Schulwerk method is not a method for teaching children to play xylophones, but rather one that mixes ensemble performance, with chants, rhymes, songs, games, dances and movement.

The Mountain View Elementary School computer lab in Claremont, CA recently received a Givers Gain® Grant from the BNI-Misner Charitable Foundation. The goal of the computer lab is to create project-based lessons that supplement what students are learning in the classroom.

Junior Achievement of Manitowoc, Calumet and Sheboygan counties in Sheboygan, WI recently received a Givers Gain® Grant from the BNI-Misner Charitable Foundation for their JA Global Marketplace program. These programs prepare young people for the real world by showing them how to become an active, contributing member of the community.

The Small Miracles Program in Chicago, IL, received a $1,000 Givers Gain® Grant to purchase laptop computers for hospitalized teenagers. 

Grace Miller Elementary Schoo in La Verne, CA was awarded a Givers Gain® Grant for Bonnie Crum's 3rd grade class to purchase the Steck-Vaughn vocabulary program. Thank you to Beth Misner for referring this grant opportunity.
